I Purchased this guitar in 2004. The guitar is in excellent condition, plays well, intonation is great and so is the sound and volume.

This is the first-year example of a classic D-28. My 1934 D-28 Martin guitar is original to include the Brazilian rosewood back, sides, neck, tuners, headstock overlay and fretboard, with the exception of a replacement torrified Canadian Red Spruce top. All work performed is to 1934 specifications, type of material, and methods. All work performed by Martin certified/authorized luthier. The mahogany neck has had a neck heel crack repaired such that it is hard to see. The ebony fingerboard has been re-fretted, and cleaned up.

The top (torrified Canadian Red Spruce), bridge (bridge replaced with a 1936 Martin D-28 bridge), bridge plate and pick guard were replaced.
